Street Scenes

Through a series of small-scale studies, I explore strangers expressions and mannerisms - the way that they subconsciously project their experience of their world; how much space they take up, what their body language informs me and others of their mood, if or how they look at others around them. I photograph the street from my office window and choose characters who intrigue me; people who unwillingly or unknowingly communicate their internal dialogues to the rest of the world. I take delight in relating to these characters, forming my own stories and intimate relationships with these strangers by painting them.
